I’m no stranger to social media.
You might say “I’m ancient”.
In spite of being enrolled in Medicare, I operate double-digit WordPress and Zen cart sites and have probably half a million humans(?) following me on social media in the captive bird niche.
My target audience defined broken down by buyer persona:
Does the mirror fog when you place it under their nose? Yes.
Do they have or are they thinking of acquiring a captive bird? Yes
Great make sure we acquire their email.

Why I see social media imploding under its own weight.
None of the big-brained internet CEO’s nor the billions of people who walk the planet with a not-so-smart-phone held out in front of them so they can interact with people not close have figured out what James Madison meant when he wrote the first amendment.
Greetings Google small business event attendees.
Tapster is nothing short of amazing in how they come to market.

Bikini mogul http://www.bikiniluxe.com/ Candice Galek runs a company that sells bikinis – and she posts swimsuit models on LinkedIn – hoping to SELL more Bikini’s – hmmmm – so these grumpy old men are saying these swimsuit models don’t belong on LinkedIn because they clearly prefer to look at pictures of more grumpy old men – what is wrong with you?
“Politics should not be on LinkedIn” and yet – Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff proclaims 3rd political party of CEO’s (google it)
I keep seeing this theme on LinkedIn – “there’s a bikini-clad model that’s not “professional” this is LinkedIn and bikini clad models don’t belong here”
Businessmen shouldn’t wear backpacks – that’s not professional (sure you’re much better off with a $600 Tumi briefcase telegraphing that you are toting $1000 worth of electronics)
“Politics doesn’t belong on LinkedIn this is a professional networking platform”
yet
